Agriculture and dairy risk management company, Weather Risk Management Services (WRMS), exhibited a variety of farming-related IoT (Internet of Things) applications like AWS, APS, AIS and educated the farmers about the SecuFarm App and SecuTrak solution, at the CII Agro Tech India 2022, a leading biennial an agriculture and food technology fair, organised by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in Chandigarh between November 4 to 7, 2022.
Through conversations, technology interventions, and the development of partnerships, the exhibition aimed to boost India’s agriculture and food processing industries.
Speaking on the activities, Anuj Kumbhat, CEO and Co-Founder, Weather Risk Management Services, said, “It gives us great pleasure to participate at CII Agro Tech India 2022. It was a great opportunity to interact with potential customers face-to-face, learn about new markets, network with other business professionals, and get feedback on the services the company sells. Farmers, FPOs, microfinance institutions, seed companies, contract farming firms, and other sustainable farming enterprises were among the visitors to our stall. Our SecuTrak, automatic irrigation, and smart farming solutions—which employ AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT technology to assist farmers in overcoming their most challenging issues, increasing production, engaging in sustainable agricultural practices, and ensuring revenue—received a lot of requests and great responses.”
“We also showcased Internet of Things (IoT) devices including AWS, APS, and AIS, which were well-liked by the farmers and FPO visitors. FPOs contacted us to learn more about our SecuFarm product and expressed an interest in conducting a pilot with us,” Kumbhat added.
According to WRMS, with the use of data and technology, the SecuFarm app reduces risk at the farm level to ensure productivity. It reaches farmers all around India using the most recent digital technologies, helping them to ensure they obtain a better yield by sticking to the package of practices shared with them in their native languages.
Farmers that join WRMS solutions, begin receiving customised crop management advisories, weather forecasts, irrigation advisories, and other pertinent agricultural services. Their farms are geo-tagged for farm-level monitoring. The software also connects farmers with agri experts directly to answer their questions. In order to ensure they receive the greatest rates for their crops, it also provides post-harvest market connections. The company promptly compensates them if they fail to meet the guaranteed minimum yield despite using the recommended practices. SecuFarm is a tool for farmers to safeguard their revenue while simultaneously encouraging them to use environmentally friendly and sustainable farming methods, the technology firm said.
