Spice Money, a subsidiary of DigiSpice Technologies and India’s leading rural fintech that is revolutionising the banking experiences in rural India, announced its special women’s day campaign ‘Waqt Hai Barabari Ka’ on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2023. The company’s vision with this campaign is to become the most preferred platform for female merchants and customers. To achieve this vision, Spice Money is launching a number of initiatives, including educating male Adhikaris on the importance of catering to women customers in their communities and providing instant loans and free IIBF BC/BF certification training to existing and aspiring women Adhikaris.

Spice Money has launched the campaign with a video depicting how Vineeta, Geeta, Sujata and Pooja and countless other women manage the finances of their households and businesses in rural India. These women handle a wide range of tasks, including bill payments, money transfers, cash withdrawals, and ticket booking. This depicts how society has evolved, with women now encouraged to manage finances rather than just do household chores.

Spice Money will also launch two special initiatives for its existing 32,000 women Adhikaris and prospective future Adhikaris as part of this campaign. The first initiative is an instant loan facility (via a partner) that will provide financial assistance to female Adhikaris who want to expand their business or invest in their personal development. The second initiative is a free IIBF BC/BF certification training, which is critical for all banking correspondents and will provide women Adhikaris with the skills and knowledge they need to be even more successful.

In addition, the company encourages its male Adhikaris to involve their wives or other female family members in order to connect with their female customers in their communities. This fosters a bond and ease for women to transact, removing any reluctance and encouraging them to transact.

Spice Money’s commitment to empowering female merchants and customers is consistent with the company’s larger mission of promoting social equality and driving financial inclusion all the way to the end. The company believes that its efforts will assist it in becoming the most preferred platform for female entrepreneurs and customers.

Underlining the objectives of the campaign, Sanjeev Kumar, Co-Founder, Executive Director & CEO, said, Spice Money, said, “We have always believed in empowering female entrepreneurs and customers at Spice Money. Our dedication to this cause is reflected in our initiatives, which we hope to strengthen with the launch of the ‘Waqt Hai Barabari Ka’ campaign. We are confident that our efforts will position Spice Money as the preferred platform for rural Indian women entrepreneurs and customers. We are committed to advancing social equality and financial inclusion all the way to the end, and we believe that empowering women is a critical step towards achieving these objectives.”
