Sohan Lal Commodity Management (SLCM), India’s leading agriculture service solutions provider with operations in India and Myanmar, has won the SCMPro Warehouse Awards 2018 in the ‘Best Agri Warehouse’ category for bringing in the best practices in warehousing into India.
Ankur Jaipuria, Chief Business Officer and Neeta Israni, Assistant Manager – Corp Comm at SLCM received the award from Vijay Wadhwani, AVP – Supply Chain Management, Relaxo Footwears at the SCMPro Warehousing Summit on March 17, 2018 in Mumbai.
SLCM is an ISO certified global post-harvest agri-logistics group providing one-stop integrated solutions with a diversified portfolio of services ranging from warehouse management, agriculture financing and collateral management to procurement. The group currently manages 2,295 warehouses and 19 cold storages across India using a proprietary scientific storage management system ‘AGRI REACH’. The efficacy of ‘AGRI REACH’ has been attested in a study conducted by industry body FICCI which found that storage losses can be reduced from 10 percent to a minimal 0.5 percent using the system.
