SKUAST-K organises workshop on weather forecasting

The Division of Agronomy, Sheri Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-K) Srinagar has organised a week long training/group meeting workshop regarding ‘Use of Crop Simulation Modal and Decision Support System in Agromet Advisory Services’ in collaboration with India Metrological Department, New Delhi. The programme has been started from June 08 and would be concluded on June 14, 2015.

The inaugural ceremony of the workshop was performed by Director Research SKUAST, Dr Shafiq Ahmad Wani and Head of Department Agro Metrological Department New Delhi, Dr K.K. Singh was chief guest on this occasion. The Director Research, University of Agriculture, Telangana, Dr Raj Reddy was guest of honour and Head of Department Agronomy SKUAST, Dr KK Singh was also present in the workshop.

The experts of agriculture technology deliberated the various issues on the subject and stressed upon the faculty members of the SKUAST to provide new and innovative technologies introduced in the Agriculture sector including weather forecast and high yielded variety of seeds.

The workshop was also attended by Faculty Members of SKUAST-Kashmir and Agricultural expert of various states.
