Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI), the industry body of rural marketers, is to going to organise 11th edition of its flagship event, Flame Awards Asia 2020. The event will be held virtually this year, given the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be held on Friday, October 16.
Instituted in the year 2006, Flame Awards acknowledge the best of the rural marketing projects, initiatives and practices in South-Asian region. Flame Awards Asia is today positioned as most coveted and exclusive award in rural marketing. The event witnesses over 200 entries from across the sectors fiercely contesting in these awards from India and overseas.
The entries will be judged by an experienced jury comprising of business leaders, brand custodians, marketers, media and advertising professionals, and domain experts in rural marketing.
For the first time, RMAI has introduced three special categories; Work of the Decade: A campaign which is being run for 10 or more years; Innovative Activity in Pandemic: An activity that has been executed keeping in mind the pandemic situation along with Academic Institution recognised for its efforts in creating ‘Future Leaders for Rural.’
Highlighting the awards, Biswabaran Chakrabarti, President, RMAI, said, “The current situation has taught us how to keep continuity in this new normal. Flame Award Asia, goes onto a virtual platform on its 11th edition. No compromise on the vigour of its evaluation process, no compromise on our quality checks, it is only re-imagined and re-invented. Nominations for awards are now open with deadline till September 18, 2020.
