Addressing the burgeoning demand for investment and trade in rural markets, Messe Frankfurt India is going to organise the second edition of Rural Market Summit India (RMSI) to help strengthen supply chains and accessibility of products in non-metro markets. Hosting its first virtual edition, according to Messe Frankfurt, RMSI is expected to be inaugurated by Minister of State for Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India, Pratap Chandra Sarangi.
As economy in urban markets witness a downtrend due to the novel-Coronavirus, many business sectors including corporates, retail, e-commerce and automobile are venturing into emerging rural markets that offer a lucrative and promising consumer base to boost demand and promote growth. Recognising these opportunities as a crucial aspect for the economic development of the nation, Messe Frankfurt India is hosting the second edition of Rural Market Summit India as a virtual event on November 26, 2020, India’s leading conference to accelerate phygital infrastructure and financial inclusion for the development of rural markets.
Inaugurating the summit, the minister is expected to throw light on the Roadmap for Rural India 2.0– Policies & Initiatives to Accelerate India’s Rural Economy. He would be accompanied by members from the industry like Chetna Sinha, Founder- Chairperson, Mann Deshi Bank & Mann Deshi Foundation; Dr Dinesh Tyagi, CEO, CSC e-Governance Services; K. Ullas Kamath, Joint Managing Director, Jyothy Laboratories and Zarina Screwvala, Co-Founder, Swades Foundation.
