RMAI announces shortlists of Flame Asia Awards 2018

The jury of Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) has announced the short-listed entries for its 9th edition of Flame Awards Asia 2018. The awardees will be conferred during the RMAI Flame Awards Asia on May 4, 2018 in Mumbai.

An expert screening jury of 30 members short-listed the best entries. Winners were determined by Jury comprising of Jiteen Aggarwal, Head of Marketing Services, Mahindra & Mahindra Farm Division; KR Venkatadri, COO, Rallis; KV Sridhar, Founder & CCO, Hyper Collective; Tarun Katial, Founder CEO, Big FM; Subhobroto Chakraborty, Founder, Digital Fellow; Biswabaran Chakraborty, Ex VP – Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals under the Leadership of Jury Chair S Sivakumar, Chief Executive, ITC ABD. The jury deliberated for long hours to boil down the final nominations for each category of the awards from over 300 entries this year. Ernst & Young were the official tabulators for Flame Awards Asia.

Highlighting about the Jury screening, Sanjay Kaul, President, RMAI said, “We are overwhelmed with the kind of response we have received this year, especially from overseas. This edition of Flame is seeing many firsts; new categories, diversified sectors, many new entrants and in fact many new participating countries. Flame Awards have now become an excellent platform to collaborate & co-share best of the best Rural Marketing practices not only in India but also in Asia.”

RMAI Flame Awards Asia recognises the best rural marketing and communication projects, initiatives and practices in India and Asia Pacific countries. With the growing interest of companies in rural markets these awards have seen a steep surge in participation both in terms of entries and entrants over the years.
