Rijiju emphasises horticulture development in Arunachal

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju emphasised on the potential of cultivation of horticultural crops in Arunachal Pradesh and urged to the scientists to develop the mechanism through which the durability of harvested produce can be increased and marketable surplus can be transformed into value added products.

The minister was speaking during laying foundation stone of the PG Girls Hostel of College of Horticulture and Forestry, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, a campus affiliated to the Central Agricultural University, Imphal.

Kaling Moyong, Member of Legislative Assembly, Pasighat and Prof. M Premjit Singh, Vice- Chancellor, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Isha Khosla, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of East Siang District, Arunachal Pradesh, Dr. AK Pandey, Dean of the College were present on the occasion.
