Union Agriculture Minister, Radha Mohan Singh has released the logo of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central University, Jhansi. Speaking at the event, he said that the university will make a special contribution in the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh towards development of agriculture benefiting the farmers of this area.

Under this university agriculture, horticulture, agro forestry colleges in Jhansi, and veterinary, animal science and fisheries colleges in Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh will be set up.

He emphasised for rapid development and focused approach in this regard. He also informed that in Datiya region also 125 acre land has been identified for this university. Present on this occasion were: Dr. Arvind Kumar, Chancellor of the University, Secretary, DARE and DG, ICAR, Dr. S. Ayyappan and Dr. R.B. Singh, Chancellor, Central Agricultural Univeristy, Imphal.
