As per market reports received from the states, retail prices of pulses have witnessed a declining trends. Release of pulses seized under de-hoarding operations is being expedited.
Tur dal’s average retail price has come down to Rs 152.11 per kg from Rs 157.77 per kg a week ago. Similarly, urad dal, moong dal and gram dal are available at Rs 141.28, Rs 108.45 and Rs 69.6 per kg respectively from Rs 150.43, Rs 110.17 and Rs 69.66 per kg a week ago.
Arrival of new crop has also started. This will help to moderate prices further.
