Three students at the School of Agriculture under Lovely Professional University (LPU) based at Phagwara in Punjab, have vowed to reach one crore Indian farmers, through their online venture- Grow Your Farms.

Grow Your Farms is a young agritech startup helping improve farmers’ income. They provide tech-enabled farm advisory services that make crops productive, farming sustainable, supply chains efficient, and bring transparency and traceability into the seeds-to-plate agri-food value chain, aiming to transform the lives of 10 million farmers by the end of 2030. The team is working towards achieving revenue of INR 25 crores by the end of next year.

The team has been selected for the National Level Carbon Zero Challenge by the Government of India and is getting incubated at IIT Madras on top of it they are receiving a grant of up to 5 lakhs under this initiative. The team recently won the YuTry Trichy Edition conducted by Young Indians and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Incubated at the LPU campus, their venture provides end-to-end “agronomical advisory and agricultural inputs solutions” at farmers’ doorstep. The students Lakshmi Narayan M of MSc Horticulture, Aruneshwar MGB and Prakash S, both of BSc (Hons) Agriculture, have used futuristic technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Grow Your Farms provides location and crop-specific solutions to the farming community.
