In order to pour smile of satisfaction on the face of visitors as well as officials and security personnel deployed in the Kumbh Mela, India’s largest personal insurance service provider, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is functioning an outlet in the mela. To provide on the spot real-time solutions, LIC deploys its teams from its various offices on rotation basis in its outlet.
The outlet gets 60-70 visitors everyday who come with their queries. They sometimes come for depositing their premiums; solutions for committing lapses on depositing their premiums and to ask queries on new polices. A handsome number of people visiting with new queries are returning with taking new policies.
Besides, the government officials, security personnel, officials and staffs of corporate houses who are deployed in the Kumbh Mela are largely coming to get certificates of premiums deposited in the entire financial year for filling income tax returns as well as depositing their premiums due during the period of Kumbh along with other related issues
The outlet is functioning since January 11, 2019 and will continue till April 5 this year. Approximately, 15 to 20 visitors deposit premiums amounting to Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000 in a single day.
Speaking on the feedback the outlet gets from the visitors, AK Srivastava, Administrative Officer, LIC said, “The outlet has made deep inroads among the devotees of the Mela. The big success of the outlet is that customers returning from here with a smile of satisfaction on their faces.”
