Israel will showcase “success stories” on governmental and business cooperation with India in various fields at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit being held at Gandhinagar in Gujarat from January 11. Israel’s Agriculture Minister Yair Shamir will represent the country at the seventh edition of the three-day event.
Israel will also have a pavilion at the event which will be dedicated to water recycling, irrigation, post-harvest management and dairy. During Vibrant Gujarat, Israel and India will sign on extending the Indo-Israel Agricultural Cooperation programme, Israeli officials said.
The two countries are in the process of establishing 29 centres of excellence for agriculture in 10 states including in Gujarat. Israel’s Country Pavilion at the summit titled “I4 – Israel Innovation in India” will focus on agriculture, water and homeland security.
