India and Australia’s trade relationship will get major boost following the free trade agreement between two countries. “It will surely be a huge boost to the India-Australia relationships,” said Tom Calder, Trade Commissioner of Australia.
“Free trade relationship just scripts away lots of obstacles. It helps companies sponsor hard to get over and seemingly it would boost the relations between Australia and India,” Calder said.
He also added, “We have recently got into a free-trade agreement with China and this has helped us in sharing expertise with China. A lot of Chinese companies have been investing in Australia and several Australian organisations are doing business there.”
Speaking about investing into India, Calder said, "It would be more like a joint venture arrangements between Indian partner and Australia partners. The Indian partner will secure the asset and the Aussie will run, develop and manage it and if we can get three or four of us that would be a great start."
