Incubation centres to promote agro and rural industries

To accelerate agro and rural industries across India, 80 Livelihood Business Incubation (LBI) centres will be set up in which 104,000 incubates will be trained under ASPIRE (A Scheme for Promoting Innovation, Rural Industry and Entrepreneurship)

Besides, 30 Technology Business Incubation (TBI) centres will be supported and set up under the scheme. ASPIRE was introduced by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises March 18, 2015 to promote entrepreneurship and start-ups for innovation and entrepreneurship in agro-industry. A fund has been created under Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) for start-ups and Rs 60 crore released for operational zing the fund.
