Dhanuka Agritech launches Diploma in Extension Services

Dhanuka Agritech Limited, a leading agrochemical formulations company of India, recently launched a course on Agricultural Extension Services in Public Private Partnership mode. The course jointly launched in association with Junagadh Agriculture University in Gujarat will benefit the agri-input dealers & distributors. A one year diploma, the course will focus on Agricultural inputs and services and training for new technologies.Previously, the course has been launched at Anand Agricultural University, Anand and Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari.

The Agricultural Extension Course devised as per the norms of IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) is offered on a distant education learning mode. The duration of the course will be for one year and would be divided into eight modules in which applied topics will be taught by scientists of different faculties.

The launch ceremony was attended by Rahul Dhanuka, Director (Marketing), Dhanuka Agritech Limited, Dr. Radha Krishnan, Director, ICAR, Director of Groundnut Research, Junagadh, Professor MC Varshneya, Vice Chancellor, Kamdhenu University, Gandhinagar, PK Kanodia, President, Dhanuka Agritech Limited, Dr. DJ Koshiya, Advisor (R&D), Dhanuka Agritech Limited, officers of Junagadh Agriculture University and Department of Agriculture. Also present were about 150 distributors from Junagarh and adjoining regions.

Rahul Dhanuka said, “ India is the second largest country in terms of agriculture productivity and input dealers are the major source of information for farmers. Hence it is important that they are equipped with latest developments and technological advancement in the industry. With our expertise and on ground experience, we are confident to make this course a true value proposition in curriculum of the university.”
