CNH Industrial, a global leader in manufacturing agricultural equipment with brand names Case IH and New Holland Agriculture along with construction equipment (CASE Construction Equipment) in India announced an in-house Covid-19 vaccination drive for its entire Indian workforce to further ensure their health, safety and well-being in the face of the ongoing pandemic. The company will cover all associated costs of the planned operation, which gives 4,000 employees, including contractual workers, the opportunity to receive the vaccine should they wish to do so.
Raunak Varma, Country Manager, CNH Industrial India & SAARC, said, “The health and well-being of our employees have been our utmost priority. Now that the vaccine availability has been confirmed, we have kicked off the vaccination for our employees at all our locations in a phased manner. With this vaccination programme, we are creating a safe environment for all our employees. We continue to monitor and support the employees, in case of illness and hospitalisation.”
The vaccination programme commenced on June 7 for employees at the CNH Industrial plant in Greater Noida. This will then be followed by the Pithampur and Pune plants along with the corporate office in Gurgaon as per vaccine availability.
Each of the individual brands belonging to CNH Industrial is a major international force in its specific industrial sector: Case IH, New Holland Agriculture and Steyr for tractors and agricultural machinery; Case and New Holland Construction for earth moving equipment; Iveco for commercial vehicles; Iveco Bus and Heuliez Bus for buses and coaches; Iveco Astra for quarry and construction vehicles; Magirus for firefighting vehicles; Iveco Defence Vehicles for defence and civil protection; and FPT Industrial for engines and transmissions.
