The Chaiyaphum Provincial Administration Office, the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 30, the Provincial Public Health Office, Chaiyaphum Hospital and Suranaree University of Technology have signed a memorandum of understanding supporting academic cooperation, and encouraging more students to study medicine.

The campaign is being called One District One Doctor (ODOD) which provides a scholarship per district for an outstanding student who wishes to become a medical doctor.

The long term project is aimed at addressing the lack of doctors in rural areas issue, while offering the chance to study medicine to local students. The campaign hopes to bring these doctors back to work in their hometown.

Under the ODOD program, Grade 12 students located outside the Muang District would have a chance to study medicine at Suranaree University of Technology.
