Assam CM launches helpline for rural students

To help students of the state’s rural areas choose a career, chief minister Tarun Gogoi launched a toll-free number.

The helpline — 1800-345-3-3768 — is called Sarathi and is an initiative of the state-level advisory committee for students and youth welfare under the sports and youths welfare department.

The number will work from 8 am to 8 pm daily. The service will be available in Assamese, Bengali, Bodo and English.
