Agri-tech India 2015 to be held at Bangalore

The seventh edition of Agri Tech India 2015, countrys largest Agri-Business Exhibition, from August 21 to 23 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).

The Expo will be exclusively dedicated to agri and food sector aims to showcase virtually all agro-related activities including new technologies, innovation and best practices under one roof. The edition of Agri Tech India will have eight other concurrent shows – 7th India Foodex, 6th GrainTech India, 5th Dairy Tech India, 4th International Poultry and Livestock Expo, 2nd Meat Tech Asia, 2nd Flora Tech IPM India, India Food Park Expo 2015, and Rural Energy India, it said.

The event series brings under one roof almost all activities related to agriculture, agri-business, food and rural energy. Interaction and mutual cooperation between these allied sectors of agriculture was a prerequisite for a flourishing agri trade, it added.

The event series was aimed at facilitating interactions between the producers, retailers, importers, farmers and exporters of agricultural, horticulture, and food and beverage products, it said adding that it was also expecting to promote trade relations and cooperation between the different sectors of the food industry and its allied industries at the national as well as international level.

India has made spectacular progress in agriculture and related fields. Indian agro-technology and agro-products, mainly processed value added products, on massive display may interest the participating countries to boost the trade, Agri Tech India Chief Coordinator S Jafar Naqvi said.

The event would witness the participation of almost 30 countries. The focus countries of this edition are The Netherlands, Turkey, Canada, Italy, Germany, Taiwan and China. Canada is a new entrant in the event; Taiwans participation would be on a larger scale this year and Turkey and China continue to be our major participants, he added
