Executive Director and CEO of AGI Milltec in India, Rajan Aggarwal, has won the prestigious “CEO of the Year for Manufacturing” award issued annually by India’s leading financial daily, the Economic Times Ascent, Ag Growth International Inc. (AGI) recently announced. The ceremony, which took place February 17 at Taj Land’s End in Mumbai, honours India’s top trend-setting and innovative business leaders.
The Economic Times Ascent award recognises individuals who have consistently and significantly increased their revenue and bottom line in difficult market conditions while improving operational efficiencies.

AGI’s operations in India began in 2019 with the acquisition of Milltec Machinery and the launch of a range of equipment solutions under the AGI Milltec brand that facilitate rice milling, pulses, seeds, maize, and multi-commodity processing. AGI Milltec provides end-to-end turnkey solutions for rice processing activities in India and beyond, backed by a dedicated R&D team that drives innovation and a customer support centre that addresses the entire value chain.
AGI Milltec’s most recent cutting-edge technology installations have been implemented in Honduras, Nigeria, Oman, and Dubai. Future expansion plans include bringing world-class grain storage and handling solutions to India, APAC, and Australia, as well as providing livestock feed and pet food processing solutions to Indian companies.

Rajan joined Milltec as Executive Director and CEO in 2016, prior to the company’s acquisition by AGI, and has been leading the company’s India operations. He is a highly regarded mentor to many colleagues, is frequently recognised as a business trendsetter, and was previously recognised as CEO of the year at the 2019 Food Show India.
During the Times Ascent 21st Global and 6th Edition-India “Business Leader of the Year” presentation, Rajan told participants that the award symbolises AGI’s leadership team’s “trust and faith” in him. “This would have been impossible without AGI’s unwavering support.
