AB InBev’s 100+ Accelerator programme to support startups with sustainable innovations

Launched in 2018, the 100+ Accelerator programme has supported 70 companies in over 20 countries to solve supply chain challenges with the most pressing sustainability challenges globally. After a successful third edition in partnership with top global consumer goods companies, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the world’s leading brewer, has invited startups to apply for the fourth edition of the programme.

The 100+ Accelerator programme establishes partnerships with scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and companies worldwide to identify and scale out-of-the-box solutions as it works towards creating a sustainable and inclusive future.

Partnering with The Coca-Cola Company, Colgate-Palmolive and Unilever, the accelerator works with startups to solve global sustainability issues related to water, circular economy, climate, agriculture, inclusive growth and biodiversity. The challenge is open to all startups from Seed to Series B stage.

Highlighting the programme, Ashwin Kak, Director – Procurement & Sustainability, India & Southeast Asia, AB InBev said, “Our sustainability ambitions are pivoted on our vision of building a company that will last for 100+ years. However, we do realise that we cannot solve today’s sustainability challenges alone. The 100+ Accelerator aims to deliver systemic change through collaborations with new age scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and companies. For the 2022 edition, we are calling on startups with new technologies and innovations to address the most pressing issues across six areas closely aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We will leverage our resources, systems, and knowledge to accelerate the world’s shift towards sustainable solutions and do business the right way, not the easy way.”

Selected start-ups will receive funding up to $100K to implement a pilot project with AB InBev to validate product-market fit, followed by a structured curriculum focused on integrating with a large corporate partner and best practices for scaling. The startups will also receive active mentorship, training and programming in product development, go-to-market, operations, sales and more.    

Multiple startups including Kisan Hub, Erthos and Craste have successfully implemented pilots in India since the inaugural edition of the accelerator programme.

Applications to the 4th Edition of the 100+ Accelerator programme can be submitted by April 30, 2022. Once the applications are filed, following an initial screening process, the selection team will review each application and announce the shortlisted companies.
