The Economic Times is going to organise its 7th Annual The Economic Times Rural Strategy Summit 2019 on December 13, 2019 in New Delhi.

The rural market is now clearly segregating itself into two parts – “developed rural” and the “rest of rural India”. In its 7th edition, the summit will help organisations gain insights into the opportunities inherent in the Developed Rural, with the three pillars of Income, Aspiration and Access. Through this one-of-a-kind platform, the summit helps organisations stay abreast of the latest happenings in rural markets and helps them carve cutting-edge strategies involving new media, power of data, new age content for the aspirational rural consumers and much more. The agenda of the summit is conceptualised based on first-hand information researched from practitioners within the B2B and B2C space of varied industries.

According to the organisers, the event will cover the road to rural rejuvenation: Can 'Grameen Bharat' make India fly? Is consumer disloyalty the new normal for rural India? Rural India's evolving aspirations and the opportunities; Solving the rural banking problem, has the banking revolution left behind suburban India? Application of artificial intelligence (AI) to achieve scale and solve the access problem; Chasing marketing nirvana at Kumbh, lessons from the world's largest congregation; Demystifying rural through data, emerging from an era of data darkness and many more burning issues related to the rural markets.

Speakers and delegates from the sectors such as banking and finance, infrastructure, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer durables, agribusiness, automobile, farm machinery, information and communication technology, advertising and marketing, consultants, policy-makers, global organisations and many other sectors focusing on rural markets and economy are expected to attend the summit.
